Starting June 8, Indian passport holders can visit the Philippines without a visa. This new policy allows Indian nationals to stay in the country for up to 14 days without a visa.
Visitors can extend their stay to a maximum of 30 days if they hold valid visas or permanent residency from countries such as the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore, or any Schengen-area country.
This visa-free entry aims to increase tourism from India to the Philippines, following a 12% increase in Indian visitors in 2024.
Nearly 80,000 Indian nationals visited the country last year, although they still represent a small share of the five million tourists who visited the Philippines in total.

A Department of Tourism spokesman said, 'This visa-free policy is a significant step towards enhancing tourism and cultural exchange ties between the Philippines and India. We anticipate it would attract further Indian visitors to come to our islands and cities.'
For travelers planning longer stays or visiting for reasons other than tourism, the Philippines has introduced an eVisa system. This simplifies the visa application process, making it quicker for travelers to obtain the necessary documents.
Moreover, the Philippines is set to introduce the Digital Nomad Visa, which will enable remote workers who work with foreign companies to stay and work in the Philippines in the long term.
This forms part of the international strategy to entice international professionals as well as long-term visitors.
The Philippines, with its more than 7,000 islands, continues to be a leading destination for tourists.
Known for its white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and scenic islands like Boracay, Palawan, and Siargao, the country offers a wide range of experiences for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
With relaxed entry requirements, a focus on digital nomads, and an easier visa process, the Philippines is making it easier for Indian travellers to visit.
